Hi, I’m Elvina

Please read this recent LA Times article to learn one reason our focus is women.

Traditionally, our demographic has been transitional age youth (TAY) thanks to our long standing relationship with Safe Place for Youth, Watch our LA2050 Challenge video to learn more about our vision to co-operate a shelter back in 2018. Although we did not receive the grant to open a facility, the idea was born in such a way that in 2021 when the Department of Children and Family Services (DCSF) needed a rapid re-housing site, SPY x PSG teamed up in Hollywood for 1.5 years:

Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care System (HOPICS) signed an MOU for placement of adults across PodShare locations in 2021. We’ve seen folks like Mr. McKinley spend 8 months at our facility and then be placed into an apartment when one opened up. Stories like his will be told in this collaborative documentary.

Hollywood Food Coalition feeds unhoused neighbors for 365 days a year for the last 34 years. When Congressman Adam Schiff awarded them a grant to house folks that really need some time indoors, HoFCo places them in a pod. In my role as Hollywood NC president, I was able to help negotiate a lease for a food warehouse called the Exchange – where food gets saved and upcycled to non-profit organizations like PSG.

Elected officials have been championing our fast, low barrier entry housing for years because we are open to everyone regardless of background or FICO scores. We also have the support from Councilmembers

I have been recognized by my city and peers, and will continue to create social good.

Besides housing projects, PSG is passionate about beautification in the public right of way.
